LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Imagine, if you will, Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle working the blood- and body part-saturated crime scene after The Bride's battle with the Crazy 88s in "Kill Bill: Vol. 1," or Catherine Willows trying to figure out just how those bullets missed Jules and Vincent in "Pulp Fiction."
While those cases fall outside of the "CSI" team's jurisdiction, the show's world and that of Quentin Tarantino will come together for the CBS drama's season finale, which Tarantino has signed on to direct. He's also come up with the story for the episode.
The "Reservoir Dogs" director is apparently a fan of the top-rated series, and creator Anthony Zuiker has been trying to get Tarantino to helm an episode for some time. Schedules aligned for the season finale, which will shoot in April and air sometime in May.
"[Tarantino] knows everything there is to know about 'CSI,' and he is into the whole mythology of 'CSI,'" executive producer Carol Mendelsohn tells The Hollywood Reporter. "Quentin came in a couple of weeks ago. We had a story meeting with the writers. He had a great idea, and it was so much fun to have him in the room. ... We are positively giddy."
The story for the episode, Mendolsohn says, will put one of the Las Vegas CSIs in grave danger. She also jokes that "there will be more bugs and blood."
The "CSI" episode will be Tarantino's first time directing a scripted series since 1995, when he helmed the penultimate episode of "ER's" first season.

Tu rigoles?
