'Law & Order's' Angie Harmon: 'I hope they make a museum out of the stages.'
Publié par Jay Bobbin dans Zap2It Blog le 28/05/10.

Angie Harmon is upholding law and order, even as she mourns "Law & Order."

The actress returns to series television by playing a Boston police detective opposite Sasha Alexander in "Rizzoli & Isles," a TNT crime drama inspired by Tess Gerritsen novels and premiering Monday, July 12. As she moves on, Harmon also is noting the cancellation of the NBC procedural on which she spent three (1998-2001) of its 20 seasons as Assistant District Attorney Abbie Carmichael.

"I hope they make a museum out of the stages," she tells Zap2it. "Every time Jason (Sehorn, Harmon's NFL-veteran husband) and I go back to New York, we'll drive by Chelsea Piers and get sort of nostalgic.

"It's kind of ironic, because here he is, driving me to work now with our three kids ... and back when we were dating during my time on 'Law & Order,' he wouldn't have to be at Giants Stadium until a certain time, so he'd bring me to work at 5:30 in the morning. It certainly has come full-circle."

Harmon adds that she "loved the revolving-door aspect" of "Law & Order," in terms of its many cast changes. "That became a mainstay of the show, and I sort of thought it would go forever. They could just keep that door revolving."

The 2007-08 ABC series "Women's Murder Club" also could have had a longer run in Harmon's view, but she considers it "bittersweet" that the cancellation came when it did.

"It was a blessing in certain ways," she recalls. "I learned that I'm incredibly resilient -- and two days before it was canceled, I found out I was pregnant with [my daughter] Emery. Now I have another child, and my relationship with my husband is as deep as it could possibly get at this point. I just have a lot more to bring to the table."
