|NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has sold Dick Wolf series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" in more than 97% of the U.S. for weekend airings in national syndication starting this fall.|
"Law & Order: SVU" has been sold to stations from broadcast groups including Fox, Tribune, Hearst-Argyle, Gannett, Scripps and Allbritton.
Top markets include New York (WWOR), Los Angeles (KCOP) and Chicago (WPWR). All three stations are Fox affils.
In its eighth season on NBC, "SVU" has averaged an 8.4 rating season to date. Series is a Wolf Films production in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Wolf is creator and executive producer.
Separately, NBC U has renewed "The Chris Matthews Show" in more than 95% of the U.S. for the 2007-08 season.
Skein's sixth season will run on stations from broadcast groups including NBC Universal, Hearst-Argyle and Gannett. Markets renewed include New York (WNBC), Los Angeles (KNBC-TV) and Chicago (WMAQ).
During February sweeps, "Chris Matthews" averaged a 2.1 rating, up 24% year to year.
